Currently, our TIME OFF portal is setup to request either a full day (8 hour default) or partial day.
And if the user chooses Partial Day, a window appears asking for the user to input the number of hours being requested for time off.
What we wanted to see was if we could have the request form modified for when the user chooses Partial Day – the system would prompt for the specific time of day
Start time (from) [ ] AM/PM
End time (to) [ ] AM/PM
Total Requested Hours: {calculated}
(Round up to whole hours)
This is important for our Call Center to know what specific time of day our service technicians are requesting off to block out that time on the Dispatch Board
The final part of this would be to ensure the APPROVED Time of Day is visible by the manager (or call center dispatch team) from the Approved Time Off Calendar.
Plus, we are confident that most users of the HR Time Off portal would benefit from this modification.

I'd like to see if we can get a few more votes from the community on this item, but I have some ideas that might help in the portal today. If your employees have abnormal workdays, you can modify their standard workdays on the Admin > User Access > User Setup. You could set their standard workday as 10 hours and they could enter a 9 hour partial day as needed. The employees can also enter in the start and stop times in the notes section of their request which can be seen by the approvers on the Approved Time Off Calendar.

We would like to be able to request more than 8 hours. Some of our employees work 10 hour days.
