In the onboarding documents, when an employee completes the I-9 section 1, the employee fills in their social security number. When the HR manager verifies the document at onboarding and then fills in what documents were verified and types in the social security number in section 2, if it doesn't match what the employee filled in, there is no prompt that they do not match. What happens is, the field the employee files in is mapped to Vista for the HR Resource profile and the PR Employee profile. The W-2 and subsequently the 1095C are then going to only reflect what the employee typed in. The I-9 is pushed through to E-verify and is not flagged because that is mapped from the field the HR manager completed and is correct. Can a trigger be added that the two fields must match before the employee is initialized from the portal to Vista to ensure the SSN is correct? An entire year could pass before we get notified by the IRS that the 1095C doesn't match the SSN and Name and that then triggers us to go back and file a corrected I-9, W-2, and 1095C.
