We’d like the ability to auto approve time off requests and have more control over notifications relating to them. Many of our managers have commented that they rarely deny time off and the approval sequence is not needed. The email notifications around this process is noise to them. Many of our higher level managers don’t apprive the time requiring our HR team to take care of it after the fact. We’d like the entries to auto approve on the date of the time off requested.

Take a look at Extended Leave Code Configuration. You can toggle Require Manager Approval off if you don't want approval. We utilize two codes, VAC and VACA (requires approval) and assign them as needed. Manager still gets notifications but does not have to approve.
