We would like to have [vendor] field to be read-only on imported transactions so end users dont overright the credit card vendor.

This most certainly needs to be implemented to mitigate the risk of fraud as soon as possible. The employee having the ability to change the vendor name from what was has been imported from the bank statement opens the door for deception and theft.
