Our current process for lost/missing receipts is for the employee to fill out a form verifying that they made the purchase and the reason they do not have a receipt (lost, not provided, etc.). They then can attach this to the expense. My suggestion is to add a missing receipt 'checkbox' that, when used by the employee, prompts them to certify the purchase is valid and select a reason. This would then allow them to submit the expense without an attachment when the attachment requirement is turned on.

An extension to this idea would be to add the ability to create a link to a Checklist. See https://keystyle.ideas.aha.io/ideas/KDS-I-3705. If they have a lost receipt, they could fill out the checklist and sign that it was a company expense, etc. It would be great if this would auto-attach to the Expense item selected in the Checklist, but the ability to add a link on the Expenses page would be a great start.
