SSN not be a required field in Onboarding invitation email

We would like the option to not make the SSN a required field in the invitiation email for onboarding. We do not collect this information on applications so are verbally asking for it each time we want to send invite. Some potential new hires are not comfortable doing this.

Obtaining the SSN is the only way to validate whether the applicant is marked "Do Not Rehire" prior to starting the onboarding process. Many companies need this functionality. Maybe a portal setting to make it optional could accommodate everyone's needs.
