Currently, when entering time to a job in Keystyle, users can select a phase code that is either inactive or has not been assigned to a labor cost type. This causes issues when processing payroll. If a phase code is inactive or does not have a labor cost type assigned to it, that phase code should not be available in Keystyle.

Is there an article that helps with inactive equipment? It is becoming more and more frustrating that the poral allows mechanics to pick inactive equipment on timecards (the fix we tried 2 years ago broke the usage of the timecard).
Hey hey Kellie. I did and I'm reading it now. It just doesn't make sense that it sees these in the first place. I'd think it would be a fairly simple change to the stored procedure Where clause to only look at active phases. Then it would be done for everyone.
Hi Jon, did you see the article Mark attached above? https://help.viewpoint.com/en/viewpoint-field-management/viewpoint-field-management/field-management/timecards/timecard-lookups/create-custom-lookups-for-timecard-entry#concept-4560
You can do this today by creating a udlookup on the timecard, it's something that only has to be done once and we can help you with it!
Kellie Medeiros -- Can this be looked in to? It's been 3 years in "under consideration". There's no reason that inactive phase codes, or even worse, phase codes that do not have the labor or equipment cost types should show up. There shouldn't be a need to do anything custom (ud field, etc.).
Yesterday.... Come on already! (=
Agreed. This needs to happen. Causes major headaches for payroll
Inactive Equipment needs to also not be available please!
Hi Karla,
I completely agree! We made the timecards super flexible so you can exclude these phase codes for users by adding a udlookup to PR Timecard Entry. Here's a popular article about changing the phase lookups for your web portal timecards: https://help.viewpoint.com/viewpoint-field-management/viewpoint-field-management/field-management/timecards/timecard-lookups/create-custom-lookups-for-timecard-entry#concept-4560
Please let me know if you have any questions!
This is a major issue.
