Create Automatic Invoice for Expenses Numbering to Prevent Duplications in Vista

With the automatic invoice numbering in Expenses, there's a mask to take the vendor number plus a sequential number after it. For example:

 

7099-1

7099-2

 

However, the sequential numbering starts over in the next month so you end up with something like:

 

September 2019: 

7099-1

7099-2

 

October 2019:

7099-1

 

In Vista AP, we have it set to prevent duplicate AP Invoices - which we cannot turn off since this prevents entering in potential invoice duplicates.

 

We need either this sequencing to not start over each month/year or include a month/year mask to prevent duplicated invoices across months/years.

 

Like:

7099-092019-01

7099-092019-02

7099-102019-01
