Adding actuals into progress entry

It would be really helpful to be able to see the actuals applied to the phase in the progress entry form.

We would love to see the actual hours column, in progress entry. This is one thing that has been requested by many of our branch offices.

    Hi Lindsay,

We don't show Actual Hours anywhere on Progress Entry, the other fields we are showing pull from the following places:

Factor = udFactor on JC Original Estimates (if blank or not in Vista, will default to 1)

QTY = udQTY on JC Original Estimates (if blank or not in Vista, will default to 1)

Total Hours = QTY * Factor * Current Estimated Hours

Hours Allowed = Total % Completed * Total Hours

Let's see how the community feels about adding the Actual Hours column to this page in the portal.

    Thank you!

    Hi Mark,

Sorry for the delayed response, for so reason this email keeps going to my junk mail. I changed the portal setting but it is still not showing the correct actual hours when compared to the information in Vista. It should show 4 actual hours processed through PR but its not.

    Hi Lindsey,

It looks like you are currently hiding the "Completed" column with your current portal setup. Can you disable the "Hide Completed, Newly Completed, and Total Completed columns" portal setting?

The Hours Allowed, Total Hours, Quantify, and Factor are all related to this portal setting "Show Quantity, Factor, Total Hours, and Hours Allowed"

    Are you using these fields?

    HI Mark,

No our progress entries do not show the total actual hours applied. Were actually are having an issue with Progress Entry currently that Ive open a case for. Below is an example of what we see in Vista verse Progress.

The estimated Units and Total Hour show what we have estimated. The Total completed % is what I have open a case about as starting this week Total Complete % has been showing values that we never entered.
Im also not sure where the Hours Allowed is coming from. It maybe showing the orginal estimated hours and not accounting for the change or to reduce the estimate hours as funding was removed from this phase?

This is a standard report from Vista. It shows the estimated hours (2.01) and the actual hour applied (4). Im am not seeing the actual hours on the progress entry.

    Hi Lindsey,

The Completed column should show the Actual Units completed. Are you seeing something different in your portal?

Having the actual units that have been processed in Vista would make it so that our employees who are entering Progress Entry don't have to look at other reports, like JC Costs/Estimates by Project Manager, in order to see the actuals have been applied to the phase.
