Any additional information other than the job or phase that the employee would like payroll to keep a record of in case they need to verify something later. Instead of emailing separately about a potential error or anything else associated with clocking in/out for the day, the option is there for the employee to have something documented on their timecard that they added themselves without relying on payroll to do it.
