We started new with HR Management and when rehires come back they are not getting the automated Welcome Emails that new hires are receiving. Rehires are also not getting the default portal settings that new hires get.

Ditto, especially on adding default portal settings to rehires. Currently it's a manual process.
I also think a reminder email would be great. In our industry, we hire and layoff after jobs multiple times in the year. We have a large population of temporary workers that come on and off many times in a year. A reminder email would be great.
Paul, are you currently adding access for those users on the User Access page once they are made active in PR Employees again? As long as they have never been on the portal before, they can be sent the welcome email. I'll review with the team.
Mark, We do rehire past employees and since we just started on the Portal those former employees would not have ever participated. Thus, sending a Welcome Email whenever the Rehire Date changes would be beneficial.
I think a reminder email to rehires would be great! I'm not sure how other companies track rehires as our companies layoff after jobs are finished so people can come and go numerous times during the year. I have to keep a layoff and rehire record in the NOTES tab of HR Resource Master. Their initial hire date always stays the same.
Maybe the rehire email could go something like "Welcome back! We are so glad you are here! We wanted to send you a quick reminder about accessing "PORTAL NAME". Login and see what's new!
Hi Paul, that's an interesting idea! We currently have the automatic welcome emails locked down so they won't resend to the same employees more than once. Do you think we should look at hire date for the emails as well?
We assign the default access to users if they are new to PR Employees. Since rehires are not new, when they are made active, they should have the same access they had before. Is this the behavior you are experiencing?
