In mechanic time cards, choosing the work order doesn't prefill the equipment and cost code (figure 1), as it does when entering a timecard in Vista (figure 3). Mechanics have to enter that information, and sometimes choose codes different from the work order, causing problems later.
Equipment should prefill from EMWH.Equipment, and Cost Code from EMWI.CostCode (figure 2).

Thank you Michael. The directions don't mention the Details tab on the UD User Defined Lookups. It worked once we populated it.

If you use a combination of equipment mechanic entry and work order and equipment entry you will need to change the vista lookups. Follow these articles. They give you the lookups and configuration.

Towner - our time card is doing this now - but I think the key was to include the EMCo field. Once Emco, WO and WOI are selected, it's autofilling the Eq and EqCC field in the grid (not sure I've checked on standard time card)
