Expense Approval screen should list credit card transaction number that is linked, if there is one.

We have employees not linking their credit card transactions but submitting for approval.  It would be helpful in the Expense Approval screen to determine which of the many transactions are linked, without having to go into each one.

Can we get the column added to the approval screen to make it clear whether it is a reimbursement or credit card expense?

    We like the merged suggestion.

Unfortunately, we do use the Expense Module for payroll reimbursements and credit card charges.  Until the fix is in, we're using a combination of Expense Posting and Credit Card Import screens to make sure that everything marked as a reimbursement truly is.

    Hi Christine,

If you are only using the expense module for credit cards, we have a portal setting that will prevent employees from submitting their expenses until they have been linked to a credit card transaction. Portal Settings > Expenses > "Prevent submission of expense item if not linked to credit card transaction." We plan on adding a column to display the CC transaction number on the Expense Approval screen, but this setting may help in the mean time.

This is similar to our issue KDS-I-899 which Justin just submitted.  I think if you could just add a column on the Approval screen to show whether the transaction was a Reimbursement or Credit Card, that would be very helpful for the reviewer to make sure it was submitted the correct way.

Yes, the employee can see “Reimbursement” or “Credit Card,” but I’m talking about the “Expense Approval” screen. We’re new to this, so we have employees mistakenly not linking credit card transactions and submitting them as reimbursements. We have told our approvers to only approve credit card transactions, but unless they go into each transaction, there is no way to see that. Maybe it’s just the way our screen shows up, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to quickly determine whether an employee linked or is submitting a reimbursement. It would be nice if one of the columns was “Credit Card Transaction #” or something like that.

Thanks for getting back to me on this, btw. Whether it can be implemented or not, it’s nice to feel heard.

Thanks for sending this in. I'd like to understand the request more. Currently, employees can see if an item is an expense item or credit card item in a grid. What would you like to see?
