In Canada we do not complete the W-4 or I-9 forms. Currently this is the place where US staff are asked to include their SSN. As a result Canadian companies do not have a way to collect the equivalent SIN leaving us with a large gap as confirming SIN is a requirement for employment and payroll corporate compliance.
