In Timecard Approval screen there is no easy way to bulk approve or deny time. Every single employee must be clicked on to review and approve. This creates A LOT of clicking and wastes time. I understand the individual review screen is so Overhead can inspect phase code allocation. However, it you are aware a time card is correct or incorrect, there should be an easy "X" or check mark button in Timecard Approval screen to process the time fast and easy, without having to click an open each individual employee. I think you missed the original intent of the suggestion, we need a similar multi-employee view for Timecard approvers as what is available for Job Time approvers. These two roles do sometimes overlap and for those who happen to be both the Timecard approver and the Job Approver they can just use the Job Approval view. However, for those Timecard approvers who do not also happen to be Job Time approvers there is not currently a way to review more than one timecard at a time.
In addition, I will second the thought that an Approve All Selected items option would be very helpful for our Job Time approvers and for our Timecard approvers should they eventually get a view where they can see all of their Timecards for approval in a single view.

Hi Mark -I think understand your reply but it does not really help. If I'm following the thread suggestion clearly, we understand the settings around the submission/approval. In our setups,we do allow managers to approve from the timecard approval page but our issue is where managers have multiple reports (say 20 people or more) to go through they are spending time clicking approvals one at a time when it isn't really required. Rather than forcing the approvers to go through the list one button at a time, why don't you just add a button that gives them the ability to 'approve all' to simplify the process. Approvers can still review the data, delve into cases if and where something seems off and when they are done, they can just approve the lot in one action.

The Timecard Approval page will only require the "Review & Approval" pop-up if you have the portal setting "Show Timecard Review Screen Prior to Submission / Approval" enabled. If you want to allow your approvals to skip the review step, they can approve right from the Timecard Approval page.

Agreed - where managers need to bulk approve employees that technically don't have to report time this would be a wonderful feature!!
Have not tried Job Time Approval and would be interested in reviewing more for our use. However based on Scot's response it appears that it does not resolve the issue of easy approval in the Approval view.
Job Time Approval is a great view for Project time/cost approvers, our project teams use it extensively, however if they do not happen to also be the Timecard approver for the specific employee then the time card still sits unapproved in the Approval view, a more effective method of approving multiple time cards across multiple companies would be a huge time saver for our senior management team.
From a project management perspective, have you tried Job time approval?
