Add beneficiary and W4 change orders to the Update Info tab would be very useful to the users especially since these documents are required when employees submit their changes

The issue is that not all beneficiaries are dependents. For example, you might want your life insurance beneficiary to be your mother or father, but they would not qualify as a dependent. This would add more confusion when adding dependents to other insurance types (health insurance, etc.). You also still run into the issue of only having two AND you dont get percentages (though you could add ud fields).
Hi Caroline,
Can you try adding Life Insurance as a code and then require that they add Beneficiaries? In the Benefits setup, you can require that the beneficiaries selected must pull from the employee's dependents and you can require any dependent field when they are added.
While this is only limited to 2 beneficiaries, you might be able to use udfields on the Dependents table to handle the additional requirements. Please let me know what you think!
We specifically are looking to update beneficiaries for Life Insurance. It is currently not a benefit code, but it could be. The issue with the current beneficiary fields in VP for benefit codes is that there are only two and you cant enter all the required info (SSN, % of benefit, DOB, etc). We need all this info saved for our life insurance policies. Some people might have 4-5 beneficiaries (think adding all your children and spreading a certain % of benefit to each).
Hi Caroline, which beneficiaries do your employees need to change? Are they always tied to Benefit Codes?
Michaeln, I think you are talking about dependent, not beneficiary. You CANNOT enable beneficiary changes, which should be different.
Both of these should exist. You can enable beneficiary and W4 changes which will update the info tab and for the W4 attach a receipt.
