Keystyle Credit Card Expense Manual Tax entry

Often times a credit card transaction is the sum of many items, which some are taxable and some are only taxed at half the rate, and some are not taxed at all.

Currently when reconciling Credit Card expenses in Keystyle, it is not possible to manually enter a Tax amount.  We can choose the tax code, but not enter the Tax amount.

This makes us have to manually split up the credit card transactions with different amounts, which is cumbersome, and costs us more time than Keystyle is saving.

Similar to a regular reimbursement transaction, we need to be able to manually enter the Tax amount.  Support suggested to enter a reimbursement transaction, enter the tax amount, and then match it to the credit card transaction.  However, this defeats the purpose of being able to import your credit card transactions when you have to Type in each transaction again.

This is the only thing keeping us from implementing the Keystyle Credit Card solution.  We do not understand the logic why the Tax field would not be editable.  This would save an enormous amount of time if we can just enter the Tax amount manually.

    Hi Michael,

Any update on this one please? We are also trying to implement and require the ability to manually enter the GST.

    Hey Anthony,

Thanks for pushing on this item. My understanding of this request is you want to select the tax type, tax code, but have the ability to manually override the tax. Can you confirm this is the flow you would like.

Hi, I'm just wondering if there is an update.

Trying to implement Credit Card Expenses as it is now is causing chaos.  I don't even have an explanation of why this isn't available.  Such a simple thing would go a long way to make this product more robust.

Thanks for sending this in.  Taxes are never fun, but they are part of life.  We will review this and get this planned.
