Make Mobile Error Messages Logical

Every time an app update or a portal update comes out there are SO many error messages. I hope the developers are working on this. I believe there have been 3 updates each in the last month or so and every time something is left out on development end that causes app and portal to not communicate. For gridtime mobile submittal we receive errors that say things such as "Object references is not set to an instance of an object"  or  "String was not recognized as a Valid DateTime" , etc. It would be helpful if messages actually said what the issue was instead of having to file a case, get on the phone with VP, and work through it. All these errors cause SIGNIFICANT down time for field personnel and inhibit productive data input.

What great timing. Another new error message today. "An Error Occurred:  The data reader returned by the store data provider does not have enough columns fr the query requested".  The amount of error messages and glitches is just astounding evry time app and portal updates occur.

Hey Chris, I brought this to the dev team.  We will review how we can make the error message more clear.

    Thanks

Thank you. The main issue is not these two error messages I listed. I talked with support and dealt with it. The issue is that every time a portal or app update happens, NEW error messages I have never seen before always pop up due to insufficient coding or insufficient portal ties. It would be nice moving forward if these error messages made sense and had a logical statement so the end user knew what the error was and did not have to rely on VP team tapping into SQL server and see what bounced back

Just referring to when employees fill out time in the Viewpoint FM app, they go to REVIEW screen and top right click on the SUBMIT button. That is when error messages are returned - upon submitting and app talks to the erver

    Hi Chris,

I'd like to get to the bottom of this for you.  You mentioned submittals.  Are you referencing the Team app?
