Do not copy the craft class from the other line. It should default to the employee master.

Hi Chris,
The current behavior assumes that whatever is on the page is what is saved to Vista. In this case, if craft and class are shown then whatever the craft and class shown on the webpage is what will save to vista. If craft and class are not shown, then the system will assume the employee default. That is current behavior.
I love this suggestion and we recognize that there are many cases where craft and class need to be shown but the default behavior needs to copy with employee default regardless of the column visibility. We are developing this feature and appreciate the feedback from this group.
This community is awesome!
Need more votes on this. Very odd that simply because a column is shown it will copy that input, instead of defaulting to Employee Master setup in Vista.
I vote for this change also. The craft/class should not change simply because they are shown in your Grid Layout. If you copy from a foreman to other journeyman employees, they should stay as journeyman - nobody would ever apply the origin craft/class setting and make the other 4 employees foreman. The craft/class should always be default from the employee master and should not matter simply because a column is shown in your Grid
The craft and class will default to the employee master unless craft and class is shown on the grid. The logic here is if you change the craft and class of an employee and want to apply it to all employees, the copy button will manage this as it. If craft and class don't change and should default only to the employee master, then hide those fields and you will have the behavior you're looking for.
