1. In Keystyle...We need for the system to not move time into Vista until it has been through our approval process. Right now there is no point having an approval process if the time that is entered is sent to Vista before it gets reviewed and approved.
2. Not being out to have more than one batch opened in Vista causes an issue to. We are doing daily time reporting and would like to have a batch opened for each day. That way the payroll department does not hold up our field team from entering the next day's time while payroll is trying to get the first batch processed and closed so that I new batch can be open.

Hi Jess,
This is an interesting title and I hope that you find the portal not only useful, but awesome! Lets break down the suggestions you have. I have rephrased your points into suggestions.
1. Please allow time entered in the portal to not move to Vista until they are approved.
I have heard this request on occasion before and it is well handled. First, in Vista if you want to know which lines have been approved follow this article. http://keystyledata.com/kb/#KB/EmployeeSelfService/Timecards/Timecard_Approval/Syncing_Approval_Status_to_PR_Timecard_Batch.htm%3FTocPath%3DHR%2520Management%7CTimecards%7CConfiguration%7CTimecard%2520Approval%7C_____3 It shows how to add the field to timecard admins.
Now lets get to the heart of the matter. If you only want to process time that has been approved use the Batch Time Move function. This allows you to move all the approved timecard lines to a batch and process them. http://keystyledata.com/kb/#KB/EmployeeSelfService/Timecards/Other_Timecard_Options/Batch_Timecard_Move.htm?Highlight=batch%20move
Using these two methods you can easily process only the approved cards. Remember, a batch in Vista is a holding area until it is processed. Timecard move gives you the tools you need for your workflow.
2. Batch timecard move can correct this as well. Move the approved time for the day. No worries. Think of the entry batch as a workfile and batch move as your medium for moving the lines you want to process.
Stay awesome!
