We’d like to enhance the Trimble Vista HRM careers portal by enabling integration with Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Currently, we can track candidate activity post-application through JobTarget, but this view is limited and does not provide insight into behavior before applying.
By allowing a GA4 Measurement ID to be added directly to the careers portal, organizations could:
Track click-throughs from all sources, including organic and paid campaigns.
Gain visibility into the full candidate journey from initial site visit to application submission.
Distinguish between traffic sources outside of HRM without relying solely on URL parameters.
Several competitive ATS and careers-portal platforms already offer similar capabilities, including iCIMS, Greenhouse, Lever, SmartRecruiters, and Jobvite. These platforms allow embedding analytics tracking or connecting to external tools to provide end-to-end reporting on candidate engagement and source performance. Integrating GA4 in the Trimble Vista portal would bring it in line with these competitors and help organizations make data-driven recruitment decisions, optimize their candidate journey, and measure the ROI of paid and organic recruitment campaigns.
This enhancement could be a relatively quick win that significantly improves reporting and actionable insights.
