We would like the ability for any timecard line generated from Field Service Work Completed entries to be automatically set as read-only upon trip closeout. This would prevent technicians from modifying those hours on the standard timecard prior to submitting their weekly time.
Example: A technician logs 1.5 hours through a Work Completed labor line on a work order through Field Service. When reviewing their weekly time through the standard timecard, they are currently able to adjust that entry, for example, changing it to 2.0 hours. We want to prevent this behavior.
This would ensure that hours recorded through Field Service accurately reflect the time logged on the work order and cannot be increased or altered afterward. This helps avoid unintentional or intentional hour padding, especially when technicians notice they may be short of a 40-hour week.

well i think Job approval can be managed through the standard timecard settings on whether or not the approver can update it. We just don't want the submitter to be able to adjust it after it's been pushed from Field Service to the timecard. if they need to make adjustments they should have to reach back out to dispatch to reopen the trip to edit any work completed lines from field service.
Would you want the timecard line to be locked in Job Approval as well if the trip is complete?
