Restrict Ability to Create/Delete Checklists

We love the checklists, but currently we want to manage who has the ability to create/delete a new checklist. We want them to be assigned a checklist to complete, but we don't want them to be able to Create a new checklist or delete them. It would be great to be able to assign those permissions separately maybe on the template, Admins should be able to add, update, and delete, the Employee Group assigned should just be able to view and complete the checklist,. Maybe another option on the template for the Employee Groups that can Add, Update and Delete?

    Kellie Medeiros,

I would like it if there was a way to choose in permission group for users if you want them to be able to create a new checklist based off of a template and if they are allowed to delete them or not. Having the ability to customize/ choose what your users are allowed to do is very helpful. For example, I may have users I want to create and delete checklists while others I only want them to create and not delete a checklist.

The other thing is how can I make a check list template have separate required fields for each reviewer? For example, reviewer 1 may have required fields that they must complete prior to submitting. But reviewer 2 has different required fields they must complete before they can submit. right now, there is not ability to do this.

I also need the ability to have more than 1 group in the check list so if there are more than 1 company, I can keep each group separate from viewing the other groups checklist while creating a new checklist.

What we’re hoping for is a way to separate the permission to complete a checklist from the permission to create or delete one, even if a template is already assigned to that employee group.

Right now, because users in that group can add checklists from the assigned template, they’re still able to create new checklist instances on their own. We’d like employees to only be able to view and complete the checklist that was assigned to them, without being able to:

    • create additional checklists from that template

    • delete the checklist assigned to them

Ideally, the template would allow us to specify which employee groups have Add/Update/Delete permissions and which groups are View/Complete only. That would give us finer control and prevent accidental checklist creation or removal.

Hey Kylie, users can only see/add checklists that are already assigned to their employee group through the template.

This would apply for deleting them but what are you looking for specifically with adding a checklist?
