The "Generate Signature" functionality is a great and convenient feature. However, it is less than ideal on Action Items that require more than one signature. In these cases, the "Generate" button is being clicked, adding the manager signature to all signature fields instead of requiring manual signatures. This results in a lot of Action Items having to be redone to obtain the correct signatures. For example, we have a Progressive Discipline Action Item. The employee is to sign acknowledging receipt of the coaching session. A witness may be required to sign if the employee refuses to do so. Finally, the manager signs upon submission. What is happening is they are clicking "generate" not paying attention to which name is being generated. We then have to Delete these AI's and have the resubmitted. There are many areas across the portal that this is not an issue. It would be IDEAL to be able to mark the signature as "enable generate" on the signature field in the Action Item Template, however the next option would be to "enable generate" on the actual template itself. This would allow us to turn off that function on only those items that it creates a problem for but leave it on for other areas of the portal.
