The portal is currently limited to only on grid timecard layout per payroll group. The only way around this is to create another payroll group, which leads to another payroll that needs processed and only works if that group is consistent. In our example we have a payroll group 1 for labor employees. We also have a fab shop that we would like to capture additional information, but the some fab shop employees split time between the shop and the field, so creating another payroll group is not feasible. I think an easier solution would be to create an employee group in the portal and only let employees in that group see the additional ud fields. It would still take some management of the employee group, but much easier than setting up an entire payroll group.
