We would like to use the portal as a request/approval process, a notifier and planning tool. We do not use time card entry in Vista currently (we use an outside software) and so we do not want to have to make a time card entry for each vacation/sick day posted. I would like to be able to just put the hours for each employee's vacation code, and then as they request time off and get approved, it automatically reduces their total balance.
