Hide earn classes that are not in use or filter earn classes by employee role

In Vista Web/Keystyle in the Grid Timecard we would like to have the ability to limit what earn classes employees see in the drop-down based on their role. Currently it looks like employees see all available classes. We would also like to hide classes that are not in use anymore. We were told by support that unused classes cannot be deleted because they had historical information logged against them, but they also cannot be hidden from the list.
