Currently, scopes remain on a work order until completed at the time the trip is completed. For PMs, we use 1 scope for each serviceable item and most PM work orders have many scopes (100+) and require multiple technicians for multiple days. When multiple technicians are working on a PM, it becomes difficult for the techs to know which scopes are complete from the work order screen. The tech much go into the scope and see if it was complete (see if there are hours, if the task is checked, etc.). If so, they back out and try another one.
In addition, when a trip is completed, the scopes that were marked complete do not change status to “complete” in Vista if there is another open trip. As such, all scopes remain open and appear on the work order in Field Service. In order to “clean up” the scopes on the work order the tech must 1) close their trip and mark the appropriate scopes complete so the forms flow to Vista 2) let dispatch know which scopes they completed so dispatch can manually mark them complete 3) then dispatch opens a new trip for the following day. This is a very manual process.
Suggest adding the ability to mark a scope complete which either hides it on the work order screen or show a status for each scope on the work order screen so the tech knows which are completed. If this action also causes the form to push to Vista that would be ok too, but also ok if that doesn’t happen until the trip is completed.
