Receiving PDFs and DOCX files from strangers applying for a position could be dangerous. There is fear that in order to view a resume, you have to download and open on your workstation.
Would it be better to either have the ability to view the resume within the portal, much like one does AP unapproved invoices, or label the attachments in some way that signifies the files were scanned and no threats were discovered? Then recruiters would have some piece of mine that at least the file was scanned before downloading.
