Subject: Urgent Need for Multilingual Support in Recruitment and HR Systems

Good Morning,

We are currently facing a critical challenge in recruiting talented asylum-seekers, particularly those from Ukraine and Haiti, due to limitations in our HR, job posting and communication systems. Despite a growing population of qualified individuals in Massachusetts, New York and New England, our inability to effectively reach them through our current platform is significantly hindering our recruitment and onboarding efforts.

While we have the necessary translation tools and services in place for employees once hired, the problem lies in our recruitment process. We need to ensure that our job postings, emails, applications, and onboarding materials are translated into the appropriate languages, including support for the Cyrillic alphabet. Without this, we are not able to reach or engage with this vital talent pool.

As a U.S. employer, we are continually adapting to the diverse and evolving needs of our workforce. This effort involves working closely with national, state, and local government agencies to facilitate the hiring of asylum-seekers. However, the growing influx of asylum-seekers entering the U.S. makes it increasingly urgent that our HR systems are equipped to accommodate these new applicants and employees.

We strongly urge the inclusion of both the standard and Cyrillic alphabets within our HR systems to ensure that we can connect with and recruit talent from a broader range of linguistic backgrounds.

The U.S. workforce is not monolingual, and our systems must reflect this reality. Enhancing multilingual capabilities is crucial to staying competitive and effective in today’s diverse job market.
