We recently discovered that a Foreman can clock their crew in and out in the field management app instead of just entering total hours worked for the day. However, when they do this, it does not total the hours for the employee prior to the timecard submission (it shows 0 hours). The clocking's don't do anything for timekeeping purposes except they are added to the Time Clock Dashboard and PR Employee Daily Time. What needs to take place:
Foreman clocks the crew in and out.
The in and out punch should total "x" amount of hours for the day.
The Foreman should then be able to submit the timecard for the day.
The time should then flow to "Job Time Approval" in the employee portal.
In "Job Time Approval" each employee for the specific job should show their in and out punches and totals hours for the day.
The manager should be able to review each employee's time.
The manager should then be able to "approve" the time for the day.
This would ensure compliance with the Department of Labor and assist us with our DOT compliance.
