The 'Existing Employee' lookup on the create new onboarding invitation screen doesn't work if the employee creating the invitation has a term date entered. If you've left and came back, we keep the term date populated in Vista for historical purposes. Can this be changed to instead of (or in addition to) looking at the term date, also looking at the ActiveYN flag? The ActiveYN flag is the source of truth for finding if someone is active or not.
