We tested the latest version of the software and before we could complete testing and load to all of our production instances a new release came out. We were forced to load the new release even though we had not gone through out testing process. We currently don't have Keystyle under SOX controls but we cannot take advantage of turning on the self service portal until we do have the app under SOX control. At that time we must be able to control what version we upgrade to if there are versions released after what we have tested through.

Hi Ben, you can put a cloud case in to request to be opted out of automatic updates.
A few of our customers do this so they can test before pushing to a production environment.
I 1000% agree with this suggestion. The even-month 'new features' releases seem to introduce bugs or unwanted changes that require us to test in a test environment so we can inform our users of the impacts and/or be ready with work-arounds. We therefore try to wait until the odd-month 'patch' releases to put into our test environment. However since we aren't notified when the odd-month releases are available to be installed then sometimes we get caught having to install the even-month release. We REALLY need to be in control of which release we upgrade to like we do for Vista. Even more so now that the portal only will run on certain Vista releases. At a very minimum we need to be able to run the updater in a 'test mode' that simply returns what version is about to be installed and/or get emails from you all telling us when new release are available.
