We have started using the clock in/clock out functionality. It has saved a lot of time generating timecards and also ensures more accurate data. It's great that we can capture job and phase, but we also enter equipment on timecards. It would be nice to have the option to include an equipment selection with the job/phase. Our field teams don't always use the same unit, so if we could capture the equipment they have at clock in, it would make the timecard submission process almost seamless.

We were told that was only for mechanics working on equipment, not operators using equipment so that the equipment usage hours can be sent to the job/phase.

I saw that, unfortunately, what the Vista HR Management trainer told us this week, is only to charge labor hours to the equipment (maintenance) and does not capture Equipment usage hours that can be applied to the job/phase. It would be nice to be able to clock into equipment on a phase code so that the operators time, as well as the equipment time gets costed to the phase/job.
Hi everyone, the equipment drop down was added to all our clock in/out areas in our .12 December release.
We really need employee's to be able to clock in to the equipment they are using on the job as well as the rev code as we have different equipment rates for different types of jobs.
They recently added equipment as an option for job costing (mechanics working on equipment) but still no usage.
Agree! This is a huge sticking point for a lot of construction companies using Vista HRM.
I've talked to a lot of our industry peers in Vista and this keeps coming up.
