The items below are changes to the timecard dashboard that occurred with the April 2024 update that are now causing extra work on our end. We would like for these to be changed back, if possible.
We no longer have the box at the top of the columns to be able to type in a name to filter. We now have to click on the three dots, then go to filter, then type in the name. Just unnecessary extra steps and I use this all the time.
Lost the ability to sort multiple columns at the same time. For example, I used to be able to sort by submitted and then approved or hours or template or any of the other columns so that I could see, of the submitted timecards, how many aren’t approved, or used the wrong template, or didn’t have enough hours. Now you can only sort by one column at a time, so I will have to export to excel anytime I want to do this. Why would this be taken away?
Is there a way to make the lines thinner? After the update the lines got thicker (but text size didn't change) and it just requires more unnecessary scrolling.
When I sort by job approval, it used to do the approved first, and then if I sorted the other direction, it would do the unapproved first. Now, that direction does the blanks first, which are irrelevant. Is there a way to fix this back so I don't have to click past all of the admin timecards before getting to the job timecards that are missing approval?

There used to be a search/filter above every column. In order to do that you have to 3 extra clicks. And it you no longer know what you searched on because it's not displaying at the top of the column, so you have to take the 3 extra steps to see what you filtered on. Then if you want to search/filter on any other column you have to do the same thing. It's very cumbersome for something that used to be very easy and efficient.
Specifically removing the filter bar atop each column.
Removing the search bar / filter bar was a horrible idea or likely an oversight. Functionality has gone backwards.
Hi Kelly, are you refering to this search bar?
We just upgraded and found that we lost a good amount of flexibility that we used to have. Removing the search bar is the was the worst. I don't understand how anyone would think it would be a good idea.
Hi Kelley,
Thanks for listing all these out
The update to the timecard dashboard was a coding update that should have only caused cosmetic changes to the front end experience.
We will get this sorted out as soon as we can - the plan is to have it included in the maintenance release in a couple weeks.
Not only that. Now it won't let you look at the timecards in the timecard approval tab for previous payrolls. Bad update!
