Admin has set the portal option to disable a required attachment when making W4 changes. However, when users go to change their W4 information, this step (step 5) is still visible and does not clearly indicate it is optional. Step 4 has "(Optional)" in the header just above it, while Step 5 does not indicate this at all. While users can successfully get past this if they try, we find that most think it is a required field.
We would like Step 5 to clearly indicate it is Optional (just adding "(Optional)" to the header like in Step 4 would be enough) when admin has disabled it as a requirement. At the moment, this is making it difficult to roll out the portal to the rest of the company as the majority of our employees are remote and without easy ability to get a print out of the form and upload it. We want to make it as clear as possible that the attachment portion is optional.
