The latest version of Vista Web (24-2) changed the way the mobile FM app decides which Phases are allowed to enter time to. It jumps through a lot of hoops to determine which Phases should be allowed to enter time to. It looks at Production cost types, Labor cost types and cost types configured in Portal settings. In addition, it uses different logic than the other time entry forms (Std Time, Grid Time) which causes further issues. It would be much simpler for us to list in a Portal Setting the cost types by company that we want the user to see in all forms of time entry. These settings need to be company specific since our companies use their own Cost Type numbering system. In fact, most EVERY setting in Vista Web needs to be by company. We are now looking at migrating our field time entry to 3rd party apps which are a lot more feature-rich overall and allow more control on filtering values the user has access to.
