Our Team was looking for a solution to two issues:
Grid Timecards in HR MGMT were deleting duplicate lines if an employee worked on the same task twice in a day for the same amount of time (AKA lines appearing to be duplicates). In short it was deleting time from employees' timecards!!! Not a good issue for an employer.
Employees were naturally entering time into the grid timecards chronologically. That is good, but when they would save it would resort the order of the time, resulting in incorrect OT calculations when they work on different jobs that require OT at different intervals.
The solution that we were provided by support was: How to add a UI Sequence to your Grid or Field Ticket Timecard which solved much of the problem. The only remaining issue is how the system sorts the lines after saving again. It sorts in ascending order rather than in descending order.
I foresee a few different solutions, offer the option to toggle between ascending and descending order of this row or add in the sequence field from Vista so that we can include that column then allow us to set which collum the grid sorts by when it saves. The last option I see is to simply stop the timecard from sorting when it is saves... (why is it sorting at all?) Maybe then allow employees to move rows up and down...
