If these phase codes were available at the Grid Time Card window, there would not be a need to reference/find other documents to find those codes, easing stress and making it convenient. There may also be less mistakes for Payroll to correct if they are readily available on the grid. There may be a few more that would be good to include, but Payroll should be contacted for those. Payroll emails before every pay period these same phase codes over and over, why not do this once and be done?
