Without continuously monitoring the email log, there is no way of knowing when an welcome email has failed. This has led to a lot of frustration from our new employees as they try to set up their access to the employee portal or if they ever need to reset their password, because the email that gets entered either through Onboarding or manually in PR Employees is invalid.

This happens consistently; emails fail to send almost every time to new hires so I've built it into my onboarding workflow to go into the mail log, pull the information out and send directly to the candidate. This feature shouldn't exist if it doesn't function properly.
