Filter options in Grid Timecard

It would be a really nice feature to filter the grid timecard. I know we can currently look at an employee.  We have people responsible for 30+ people, which means there are many lines of data to go through.

It would be nice to have a filter bar on top of the time cards lines. I like the idea of having it look like the Job Time Approval but I also feel it can get confusing. It would be nice if it was just a field bar similar to the ones in the grid in vista or like a filter bar on Excel.

Filters similar to the ones in Job Approval would help a lot.  I was originally thinking something more like the filter bar that a Vista grid has, but if that doesn't work for the programming, then the Job Approval version would make a big difference.

In addition to the logical reasons for this benefit, we have some field users that simply need to be able to limit the noise (irrelevant data).  Computer use and data management for many foremen and superintendents can still be fairly painful and a small fix like this would go a LONG way in helping them to feel comfortable with the program and embrace learning new systems.

We would like to filter out 0 hour timecard lines (people clone and clone with the 0 hours frequently).

Is this filter an option available in timecard review?

Filters like on job approval would be delightful!

How would you feel about adding the filters like we do on job time approval?  You get to select which columns have filters.

Field is using filters/sorts to make sure everyone on the various crews is accounted for, everyone is entered to the correct job, start and stop times per employee/crew/job are correct, mob and miscellaneous mileage are booked to the correct job, phase for each row is correct, etc.  With so many rows and the days of the week across the grid, so much sliding back and forth and scrolling up and down and so little screen, it's just hard to do a good review.  I recommend they filter by employee to look at the employee's week in total and that they sort by each column that they can - employee, earn code, job, phase, from city, miscellaneous mileage, notes - but without a secondary sort or a filter, it's still challenging.

In the office, we do backend review - everyone accounted for, correct earn codes, jobs and phases - and even with dual or triple large monitors, a timecard with 30+ rows is a challenge.  We have a custom time worked dashboard that we've built, which aids in review; but when we go to make changes, it would be nice to be able to isolate rows by job (e.g. last week time was booked to wrong job # for multiple guys all week, so we had to go in and change all those rows to correct job #.  We can sort which helps, but it is still cumbersome.).

    Thanks, Michael, for the consideration.

Lets keep going down this thread.  When your team is using these filters, is there a specific item they are checking?  I'd like to tease out the root of the users efforts to address the core.  The answer may be, they just need lots of filters to see data in different ways, but lets explore what they are going for.

We really need a job # filter too.  See snaps from one of our grid timecards for this week to date.  27 employees on 6 jobs.  Multiple rows per employee due to different jobs, mob and miscellaneous mileage.  We can have well over 100 rows on a grid timecard.  Field enters time on an ipad or laptop so not much real estate to work with.  Multiple sorts and filters are necessary to ensure accuracy of timecard.  While the employee view is great, being able to look at time for a single job would be a great help for time entry and review.

The grid timecard has a filter for employees.  You can select it to filter your grid.  Is there a feature with this filtering that is missing?

We find that it is easiest to add the employee's first line, then click on the employee specific view... that might cut down on how much is on each screen for you

Filter for job is essential!  Filter by earn code or phase would be cherry on top.
