Currently all weighted ratings within a given performance review template must be completed, and total up to an employee's total score. There are moments, however, where a specific rating within a performance review template is best to be skipped, or is not applicable given an employee's unique situation.
Adding "N/A" would allow the manager to skip said item, without negatively impacting the employee's overall score.
