Hi Mark,
I emailed Michael Smith about this a couple weeks ago, and I need more people outside of Kansas to contribute to this idea, but I've changed my view on this to where we want the tax code to be the tax code of where we take ownership of the material. We had a tax code defaulted in Vista to do this already. In our instance I believe the portal is behaving as expected on your end based on my testing, but if someone else could confirm that would be appreciated.
Hi Team,
I believe this functionality is already supported by the portal. Can you verify that you are not seeing this behavior in your environment?
This is a big issue in Canada with multiple provinces operating under different tax codes. Especially with the introduction of HST to a number of provinces, the GST is no longer applicable and is the default tax code when a PO is created in FC. The PO module in Vista correctly pulls the tax info from the Job Master.
This would be great - we've tried using PO defaults in Vista but it's not accurate to use for all jobs and it would save the foremen from trying to guess what the tax status of a job or work order is when writing a PO
