Our companies only use PMPO for workflow approval as we want to have the ability to import our material detail. The functionality behind PO requisition is to populate a PO, not the PMPO that could then be routed for approval.

We need review and approval of all PO's but we have many business scenarios that require different people approving them. Expense-type Pending PO's only allow one workflow per company, which was insufficient for our needs. We decided to pursue using PO Requisitions for review and approvals. We then learned the portal does not support review and approval of PO Requisitions. Further, when a PO Requisition is transformed into a PO, it does not/cannot create a Pending PO. This means the PO is not valid for workflow processing, i.e., there's no review and approval process. We need the portal to support PO Requisition review and approval and also to provide the option to transform a PO Requisition into a Pending PO.
Glad to see this is in review. It is muy importante for us, and will increase our ROI for this product as well as Vista.
We are currently using the PO Pending in the portal, but with the PO Requisition not being connected to PO pending that means only our Purchasing agents are able to take advantage of the portal not our field personnel who need to be able to enter materials in a format similar to Requisitions or PM Material Detail without vendor information. Either allowing PO Requisitions to initialize into PO Pending/PM Purchase Orders or enabling PM Material Detail entry through the portal would seriously increase the functionality of the portal PO tools. In addition, having the ability to have PO Quick create connected to PO Pending/PM Purchase Orders to allow workflow processing would also allow us to turn this tool back on in our portal.

Our PO Pending creation allows for the workflow and if it is tied to a job it shows up in PM PO. Is there a reason that your team doesn't want to use PO Pending in the portal? If the desire is to have the PO Quick create route via PO Pending we could do that as well. Please clarify.

Without the other portal PO components being connected to PO Workflow we have had to disable them. Viewpoint created a PO Workflow system and then leaves out the ability to route the other PO creation types to that workflow, enabling this through the portal would allow us to have a larger workforce taking advantage of the Field Management components.
See also KDS-I-138. Both of these getting at same idea and very important. We can't use the portal for PO req or Quick PO until this is addressed.
