Onboarding:
The ability to define attachment types for all onboarding documents would be helpful. Therefore, different employee groups can access those documents in Viewpoint but will still be restricted to HR / Payroll sensitive documents. Currently, only the attachment types of the I9 and W4 forms can be changed.

Hi Team,
Doing some suggestion cleanup and this was shipped over 2 years ago!
Thank you
I thought the latest update in HR Management would help with this suggestion but it doesn't. The ability to assign attachment types is in Onboarding but it doesn't follow through to Vista when you initialize. The attachment type assigned is put in the Vista DM description field in the form assigned. This function needs to assign the Attachment Type just like the Vista DM Attachment Type so when the document is attached in Vista, it has the Vista DM Security.
Per my discussion with Mark/Andrew I'm voting this suggesting up. This would be super helpful!
We have our default attachment type set for HRRM and the custom task attachments are not set with the attachment type when they are uploaded into Vista. This was working for us until we updated the portal with the fixes for the W-4 at the beginning of the year.
So, if you set up a default attachment type to pr employee, you can only have one attachment type. So, if we are attaching all items to the main info tab, and we are letting them change tax withholdings and direct deposits, we wouldn't be able to use that option, correct?
On any form in Vista, right click and select form properties. In this window you can set a default attachment type.
How would you do this? Can you do this if you don't use the onboarding?
That's great news! Can I mark this as already exists or would you prefer I leave it open for votes? If the later, can you recommend how you would like the feature to function?
Thank you again for submitting suggestions. I love our community!
That definitely helps us! Thank you Michael.
One note on this, if you assign a default attachment type to the form in Vista the onboarding document will inherit that attachment type. Does that solve the problem for you?
This suggestion would be a BIG benefit to our HR Department as right now they have to go to Vista to define the attachment type for all the documents after the employee is initialized and we have a lot of application paperwork that comes over.
To be able to use Manage Custom Task and Manage Document Templates with the same features of being able to Save & Preview as well as select the Attachment Type.
I would like to be able to define all attachment types. Like if an employee uploads a new w4 we would want to be able to say it's a pr type, tax form. Or direct deposit or so on. Right now we have to go in and add the type so its cumbersome
