Review multiple timecards for a single employee in one place

In Timecard Approval, we can see when a single employee has had time entered on multiple crew timecards for the various foremen that he has worked for in a pay period. However, there is no way to see all of his time in a coherent format to be able to review it when his total hours worked is not accurate - our managers currently have to review one timecard at a time, print it out or open it in a new tab, and then compare it to the other timecards for that employee. Having one screen that shows hours worked, by day and by foreman (crew timecard owner), would greatly improve our review ease and time spent each week.

Hi All, Michael the option to allow the manager to see aggregated time would be ideal for our set up as well.  Since we don't use a shared template we have different foreman entering for our crews and are seeing the same types of mistakes with too many hours being entered by different users.  We need to be able to see aggregate time at the admin level (for us) OR I just put in a suggestion that there should be a portal setting to have Keystyle alert us if more than 8 ST hours are submitted within one pay period.

Comment to bump this back. I agree - need a way to view an employee's aggregated time for the week in one click rather then through potentially multiple times cards for multiple days.

I agree with this concern and it is a bit cumbersome if a person is not using "job time" such as an accountant or HR person who does not charge their time to jobs but to payroll departments.  It is also cumbersome if you go out and "view" their timecard and approve it (which is what we have found folks prefer, easier on the eyes for us) then a locked timecard appears-it would be nice if there was an arrow to go to the next timecard or the next timecard needing approval came up.

Hey Michael, after some more discussing with a manager, it would also be helpful if a foreman that enters time for another employee could be flagged if a similar line exists for a specific employee on another foreman's timecard. We ran into issues recently where an employee had his time entered by himself and two foremen and if they would have been able to see (not edit) existing timecard lines that were entered by others we could have saved some significant headaches today

    Hey Michael,

A way for an aggregate timecard review would be great - if a manager could see time by day and then have some kind of indication of which timecard to fix, that would solve it.

Job Approval would only work for some situations for us as we do a lot of Service Management work along side our jobs, so there would be some gaps using Job Approval when it came time to review a person's entire time (this is at least how I understand it works, if I'm totally wrong and it does include SM let me know and I'll circle back to it).

    Thanks!

    Hi Seth,

I can see the concern.  The trick is what happens if someone wants to edit the card.  If you have a person who works on 4 different jobs with 4 different foreman, who should approve the job and who should see the time?

Right now, we will show the cards as described to ensure that it can flow to 4 different discrete managers.  Would you be interested in a setting that lets a manager see aggregated time?  In this scenario the user would also have to select which crew timecard they wanted to navigate to in order to make any modifications.

The other option you can consider is the use of job approval.  In this type of approval, the cards are all listed on a grid.
