rejected timecard lines removed from PR Timecard Batch

When an approver rejects a timecard line, it is still in the PR Timecard Batch.  Whoever processes that batch has to manually cross reference anything that has been rejected by using the notification emails and delete those lines from the timecard batch before processing.  It would be helpful if a timecard line would be deleted from the batch if it is rejected.

I agree with James that only SUBMITTED timecards should show up in a batch.

At least non submitted timecards should be ruled out ending in PR time card batch. Its a very basic requirement.

    Hi Team,

The Vista web portal timecards are currently designed to save directly to the PR Timecard Entry batch in Vista. This time will be in the batch prior to submission or approval. This is not something that we plan on changing and there are things you can change to your workflow to prevent rejected timecard lines from being processed.

    • Prior to validating or posting the PR batch, have your Timecard Admins review the Timecard Dashboard for any rejected timecards.

    • Or have Timecard Admins use Batch Timecard Move to move the Approved timecard lines out of the main PR batch to another Vista PR batch so they can be processed separately from the unapproved or rejected timecard lines.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Is there a way to have timecards only show up in the batch once they are SUBMITTED in the portal. They are showing up in my batch whenever anyone enters time (before they even click submit), so people are messing up and not deleting and then starting a new timecard so I end up with double time for people. Right now we have instances where there are 88 hours in the payroll batch in Vista even though the user didn't click submit on the 48 hours one.

I would not want an Approver to have the ability to delete timecard batch lines, without at least an audit trail in the batch itself - which does not currently exist in Viewpoint.
