As we have had a chance to explore the emergency contact piece of onboarding, we found that when an employee is entering this information, generally speaking, they put these contacts in order of importance. However, when this information is initialized into Vista it sorts the names of the individuals entered in the Contacts section by name in ascending order rather than by sequence number of the order it was entered within the portal.
Adding a field or a checkbox that pushes to Vista to indicate an order of importance OR simply just changing the way these are being ordered in the OnIntializeEmployee stored procedure, would be extremely helpful.
HR when calling an emergency contact typically will call the 1st person on the emergency contact list, with the assumption that is how it was entered in the system by the employee, but because it sorts these differently in Vista you could potentially have an issue with a friend or other contact being called prior to another simply because ones name came before the other in the alphabet.
