Administrators to the portal could use it to post messages or links to important things that get missed by just adding to the company announcements.

I think this would be useful, especially for announcements you want to make sure all employees or all employees of a specific group see. It would also be useful to have a way for the employee to acknowledge and then a way to track those acknowledgements.
I think the idea would be to enter a Company Announcement to a group(s) and a new check box in the Document Dashboard is created possible saying "Pop-up Message Confirmation" or something, so that when a user logs in the message pops-up, because the check box was marked, and they see the Headline of the announcement and when they click OK it takes them to the full message to read.
I don't have a screenshot of the pop-up but when Viewpoint does an update it shows the new features when you login to the portal. I would like access to that or a feature like that to post quick content. Example content we would put into it would be like company picnic here's the link to directions or company store new merch here's the link.
