Multiple Technicians Assigned a Trip to Service WO

There needs to be feature enhancements made to the way we assign multiple technicians a trip to a Service WO. The following items need to be improved.


A technician designated as "In Charge/Lead" should be the only tech required to get a signature, or fill out required forms.


Technicians who are not the Lead should not be required to go thru the entire Trip/Scope completion process. Maybe they can simply shift their status to Complete after the Lead tech gets a completed Scope/signed service summary. There is not a need for them to get another customer signature, or fill our required forms. Often the technician who is not the lead simply needs to clock in/out and see pertenant scope information.

    I would like to expand on this further and ask that the Work Order shows if there are multiple technicians assigned to the same work order. We typically have multiple techs on a single work order. Knowing that another tech is assigned allows them to coordinate parts pick up at our warehouses or vendor supply house. I also like Joanne's suggestion because we sometimes have apprentices working with a senior tech and senior can put in time for the apprentice.

    Similarly, if there is more than one technician on the work order why does he need a trip scheduled if they are traveling together? There should be away to enter more than one employees time into one work order that is not cumbersome. If you have a suggestion I would love to know it.
